Duty to Accommodate

Under the Provincial and Federal Human Rights Acts, government offices, service providers, businesses, employers, and places of worship have a legal obligation to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities, including people who are Deaf and those with hearing loss, up to the point of undue hardship. This includes visitors to your public space, clinic, office, or store, as well as your employees.
